Frequently asked questions
How long before I can paint new plaster?
Fresh plaster needs to dry fully, usually 5 to 7 days for a skim coat in a warm, ventilated room. A mist coat (watered-down emulsion) goes on first, then the top coats.
Can you remove an Artex ceiling?
Yes. Depending on age and condition we either skim over it or remove it. Older Artex can contain asbestos, so we test first where appropriate.
Do you plasterboard lofts and extensions?
Yes. We board and skim all the rooms in our own loft and extension projects, and for other builders and homeowners.
Do you do external rendering?
Yes. We apply sand-and-cement and modern through-coloured renders to extensions and existing walls.
